Possible virus?

Post  Jake "Reggae" on Fri Mar 19, 2010 10:01 am

Well I don't think its the client, but almost every say 30 seconds my anti virus program says
"Malicious IP Blocked XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX " this has been happening for about three days, then earlier today I was downloading music then bam! Loads of porn pop ups then a anti virus program tried to force me to download its shit. So i restarted my computer and deleted the virus with my anti virus program. Still the IP blocks pop up pretty commonly and I wanna know if this is a sign of spyware.

Get CCleaner and run that on full throttle, also get PC Tool Spyware Doctor.

Definately not Edge related, you should be more careful with what you download =p

Cookie's wouldn't be doing that, don't worry about scanning everything you download, just make sure you get things from trusted sources.

=p Cookies are like sticky notes for websites, for instance: Clicking 'Do not display this again' will save a cookie on your browser to let the site know you don't want it displayed, there are tracking cookies that can watch what you do, but in most to all cases these are harmless.

I scan every day, It's important to know what your computer needs to run, in the case of a malfunction, or overloaded CPU, just pay attention to whats running in your task manager.
